Photo Guide
Uploading a proper image is the most important part of your order.
We can deal with almost any picture, but to help assure quality, please follow the guidelines below:
Pictures should be taken during daytime hours.
- Avoid pictures taken at night.
- Avoid photos taken with flash.
- Photos should be high quality, not pixelated, with all facial features visible when zoomed in.
- If the picture is black and white, we can paint a grayscale image from it.
- Do not use filters.
Please note that your portrait will look like the image you upload so please make sure it follows the guidelines
Style Guide
EpicPaint allows you to instruct our Artists to craft your Custom Portrait in one of four unique styles:
Oil Style:
The most popular style. Works perfectly with almost any photo you choose. If you are not sure which style to pick, Oil is a safe choice.
Acrylic Style:
Acrylic sometimes appears similar to Oil Style, although works better with landscape and house subjects. Acrylic is vivid and like Oil Style a safe choice for most photos.
Sketch:
Sketch style provides a black and white Portrait, and works great with smaller Portraits where fine lines are harder to achieve with a brush-like style.
Size Guide
Our Custom Portraits currently come in 3 different sizes:
1. 8X10 Inch
2. 12X16 Inch
3. 18X24 Inch
Your portrait will be either Landscape or Portrait, based on the image you uploaded. In some cases, our artists will change the layout so it fits your Portrait the most.
Frame
You can choose from 5 different frame types:
1. White
2. Matte Black
3. Red Oak
4. Canvas
5. Poster only
All frames are made from .75″ (1.9 cm) Ayous wood from renewable forests. The frames are lightweight, have a Acrylite front protector and include hanging hardware. When ordering a framed product, your portrait comes framed and ready to hang.
Our canvas are 1.5” deep, acid-free, PH-neutral, and fade-resistant canvas.
You can also choose to purchase the museum-quality poster only without a frame, which is made of a thick and durable matte paper. Each poster is giclée-printed on archival, acid-free paper that yields brilliant prints to brighten up any room.
Background Style Guide
For Oil and Acrylic Style:
When ‘select a solid background’ is toggled on, you can choose one of 4 solid background colors:
- Blue
- Green
- Gray
- Maroon
When this option is off, the Artist will illustrate the existing background of the photo you have uploaded.
For Sketch Style:
When ‘select solid background’ is toggled on, a ‘cloud’ crop effect will be illustrated by the artist.
When this option is off, the Artist will not crop the original photo background.
Photos that have 2 people/pets or more Guide
EpicPaint Portraits are digitally handmade by professional artists. This means that each person/pet in your Portrait is designed individually. Therefore, complex images with more than 2 individuals will be charged at a rate of $15 per head (starting from the 3rd individual)
Combine Images
To combine images, please upload images (using upload a photo button) and toggle this button on. In case you are not able to upload images together, please upload them one by one. EpicPaint allows you to upload multiple images and we will combine them into one portrait. Please upload at least one image for each subject you want to show in your custom portrait and we’ll combine them into one masterpiece.

Return Policy
We believe Our job is to make sure you LOVE your Portrait. If for any reason you are not happy, please let us know why and we will make it right.
In case of a manufacturer defect on arrival (i.e. damaged Portrait or objective flaw) send us a photo of the defect within 24 hours of receiving your Portrait. We will confirm the issue and remake your Portrait. You will be required to ship the original Portrait back to us to get a replacement.
If you want to cancel your order and your cancellation request comes within the first 3 hours after placing it, you will get a full 100% refund. Due to the custom nature of our product, once production of your item has begun it is not refundable.
